As a Senior Digital Materials Specialist at Lotus Tech, you won't just create materials; you'll craft immersive worlds. Your role goes beyond the ordinary, delving into the extraordinary realm of digital material innovation. You will design and implement cutting-edge pipelines, ensuring our cars don't just look good but evoke emotions. From meticulous library management to seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, you'll be at the heart of our creative engine.

Responsibilities:

• Material Development: Design and implement efficient pipelines for creating and applying accurate materials to prepared datasets across various platforms.
• Library Management: Create and maintain digital material libraries, ensuring they are cross-platform and tailored to specific software needs.
• Tracking and Documentation: Maintain up-to-date trackers to monitor material development statuses. Document material creation pipelines, ensuring adherence to agreed standards and processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the CMF team, building strong relationships to enhance digital material development processes, bridging the gap into visualization.
• Workflow Improvement: Constantly seek ways to enhance material workflows, fostering efficiency and creativity in downstream visualization tasks. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Quality Focus: Ensure material creation is done optimally to support tools and plugins used by artists and developed by the Technical Development team. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality materials on time.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders to gather information, samples, provide progress updates, and incorporate feedback into materials.
• Industry Awareness: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques related to digital pipelines, real-time rendering, automotive visualization, and virtual reality.

Requirements:

• Experience: Extensive experience in digital material creation, with a focus on Substance Suite. Proficiency in Unreal, Vred, Maya, and 3DS Max is desirable.
• Efficiency: Highly driven and efficient, capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality materials within deadlines.
• Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to material accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with fluency in English.
